Windows 7 Milestone 1 was sent to microsoft key partners by January 2008 in both x86 and x86-64 versions, although only the x86 version leaked. This build was the first build to introduce pinning items in the Start Menu. Programs in full screen will now retain their transparent borders. Microsoft also started to revamp the control pannel area, and introduced a new Backup and Recovery Center. A few other system applications have changed, there is a new build of Internet Explorer 7, Windows Mail, and Media Center was tweaked. This build also introduced us to Homegroups. These allow you to quickly setup a home network for sharing files and photos etc.
