Games
From IeXwiki
Over the last 34 years, games have increasingly carved their way into the free time we enjoy. They have evolved from scientifical experiment to the arcade-hall, from handhelds to television and computer monitors only to go back again, from geeks, nerds, posers and players to kids and eventually almost everyone, from primitive and abstract to near and - only recently - hyper-realistic. As you can read in the introduction to Video Game History, they are here to stay; so much is sure.
The information here is currently divided into Platform Gaming where you can read up on PC-related interactive entertainment and Console Gaming which gives you the low-down on the boxes sitting near your television. A third section tackles General Gaming Information. This is where you find platform-independent information like a history (which is WIP) and an attempt to write a Gaming Taxonomy.
