Double Data Rate RAM - DDR RAM is the most commonly used RAM in todays world, it multiplies the Front Side Bus speed by 2 to equal the effective speed. Typical DDR ranges from 266-400mhz effective rate. Some DDR RAM modules are certified to Overclock to over 600mhz, using binned BH-5 and TCCD modules. Other varius RAM types include: EDO, SDRAM, RAMBUS, QDR, DDR-II, DDR-III, GDDR-III.
