Apple Computer is the company which originally kicked off the personal computer revolution in the 70's. By the end of the 80's with the introduction of the Macintosh line of computers, Apple owned a large majority of the computer market.

In the early 90's Microsoft introduced its Windows operating systems which now composes approximately 92% of global market share for operating systems.

Apple Computer is famous for its iMac brand computers which were introduced in the late 90s with the return of Steve Jobs as the CEO of the company. In addition, Apple has jump-started the online (legal) digital music industry with its iTunes player and iPod portable music device.
